SHREE Manokamana School
The pictures you see above were taken at the Manokamana Primary School in Okhaldhunga, Nepal. The school currently has 50 students and goes from Kindergarten to the 3rd grade. The Nepal Club raised enough money in March 2018 to institute a sustainable meal program in the school so the children can eat a hot meal during lunchtime. Most of the children are from the untouchable class and live in poverty. A meal program will not only give nutrition to the students at the school but it will also attract new students as they know they will be fed. A meal program in a primary school will tend to increase the attendance rate by 25%.
